We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are old but everything looks good and it's clear they are continuing to work on the property. Good staff.
No frills lodging. They have extensively updated the outside; however, did not put as much money into updating the rooms. Rooms are clean, nothing special. I'll try another hotel/cabin for our next visit.
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived after dark during the week for our 1 night stay! The room was clean & decorated so cute, beds comfortable, water hot and TV worked great! Love having a small fridge & microwave too. We stayed at an upscale chain hotel recently that wasn't this nice! Loved the sign in the room that said Quiet after 9pm. Most guests, like us were getting up VERY early to go on a Moose Safari or possibly hunting! We actually decided to stay a second night as it was so comfortable! The owner made it happen so we didn't even need to change rooms! I highly recommend staying here for a reasonable price!
Nice, clean room. Did not have to wait for room to be ready. Nice view of Moosehead Lake and Mt. Kineo.
Everything was average. Alright location, cute rooms and friendly staff. 2 problems however; being on the first floor, we could hear the elephants, I mean people, above us. Not necessarily problematic, except at 6am on a Sunday morning. The elephants found this a good time to start line-dancing or audition for Stomp! This was the other guests being inconsiderate and not an issue with the staff or place, although, probably some more insulation would be beneficial. The other problem was the lack of hot water. Upon check-out we found the staff had discovered their water heater had failed and they were working on that issue. Overall it was a alright stay and the interactions with the staff were wonderful. The wifi worked well, and sadly we didn't have time for the pool!
