Good size clean rooms; we had a double bed and it was all wheel chair accessible; All lake and picnic grounds views :) ;between all of us we signed out the canoe, kayak & paddle boats; met some other folks from Durham NC, small world when you talk to people! ; Paul and Debbie are very nice hotel owners.
Great relaxing place. Free kayak, canoe and paddle boat for guests. Swimming beach, loons, eagles and other water birds. Free WiFi and long distance in US and coffee! Easy driving to all area interests.
Needed to be in Greenville for the day on Saturday, and didn't want to drive back and forth, so decided to find a place to stay. Had looked ahead, and knew there were a few openings here still. Took a chance. Ended out with a sweet little get-a-way! Got a room with a double-person jacuzzi (wonderful after a long, long Saturday!) and literally right on the waters of Moosehead lake. Rooms are clean, proprietors are friendly, and overall made for a great weekend. Would definitely come again! Oh, and prices were reasonable for high summer rates in Maine.
If you're looking for a simple, have-fun-on Moosehead Lake place to stay, Chalet Moosehead doesn't suck. :) We're already making plans for next year ;)
